Uses

Phosphate buffer can be used as a sample diluent when detecting coliform bacteria and Escherichia coli.

Application

Phosphate buffer is mainly used in some chemical experiments to adjust the pH value without affecting the experimental reaction, so that the chemical reaction can proceed under optimal conditions. It is also used in some food or feed processing, such as for plate washing in ELISA methods for testing mycotoxins in food or feed, or as a dilution buffer in food microbiology testing.
