Uses
2-Imino-4-methylpiperidine is a potent, general NOS inhibitor. It exhibits IC50 values of 0.1, 1.1, and 0.2 μM for inhibition of human iNOS, eNOS, and nNOS, respectively, at an arginine concentration of 30 μM.
Uses
A potent inhibitor of human iNOS (hNOS II).
in vivo
Following oral administration, NOS-IN-1 (compound 3; 10 mg/kg) decreases serum nitrite/nitrate levels in an in vivo rat endotoxin assay[1].
