Chemical Properties
Crystalline solid; strong, garlic-like odor. Insoluble in water.
Uses
To control the various smuts which befall grain. Reduces bulb rot in gladiolus.
Hazard
Ingestion may be fatal.
Safety Profile
Poison by ingestion and intraperitoneal route. Mutation data reported. A fungicide. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of Hg, NOx, and SOx. See also MERCURY COMPOUNDS.
