Synthesis
α-(1-dodecanoyl-ω-based dodecyl)-ω-[(1-carbonyldodecanoyloxydodecyl)oxy]polyoxyethylene, also known as poly(ethylene glycol) dodecanoate, can be prepared from lauric acid and poly(ethylene glycol) catalyzed with p-toluenesulfonic acid.
