Uses

α-D-Glucoheptonic Acid Sodium Salt is used in prostrate-specific membrane antigen targeted imaging and therapy of prostate cancer using the prostrate-specific membrane antigen inhibitor as homing ligand.

Biochem/physiol Actions

α-D-Glucoheptonic acid has been shown to inhibit germ-tube formation in C. albicans budding yeast cells.
