Synthesis of compound 34-2 (0476): To a solution of 34-1 (2.0 g, 9.259 mmol) in methanol (20 mL) was added 10% palladium/carbon (0.2 g) purged with nitrogen. Hydrogen was subsequently passed to displace the nitrogen. The reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. Upon completion of the reaction, the catalyst was removed by filtration and the filtrate was concentrated to dryness to afford 34-2 (1.7 g, 99% yield) as a brown solid.
