THALSIMIDINE ME ETHER Usage And Synthesis
Description
A further bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloid from the above ground parts of Thalictrum simplex, this base is separated from the accompanying thalsimidine by thin layer chromatography. It is also dextrorotatory having [o:ll,0 + 27.45° (c 6.72, CHCI 3 ). The crystalline hydrochloride decomposes at 233-5°C and thepicrate, light yellow needles, also decomposes before melting, at 209-21 1°C. The original structure has subsequently been revised to that given above.
Definition
ChEBI: Thalsimine is a member of isoquinolines.
