Synthesis

General procedure: Preparation of Example 14 2-Methyl-3-nitroimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (330.0 mg, 1.86 mmol) was dissolved in 8 mL of ethanol. 10% palladium-carbon catalyst (20 mg, 0.2 mmol) was added to the solution under argon protection. The reaction mixture was stirred under hydrogen atmosphere for 18 hours. Upon completion of the reaction, the catalyst was removed by filtration through a diatomaceous earth pad and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to afford 2-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-amine (260 mg, 1.76 mmol, 95% yield) as a brown solid.LRMS (m/z): 148 (M + 1)+.
