Synthesis

Diethyl Difluoromethylphosphonate is prepared by the reaction of sodium diethyl phosphite with Chlorodifluoromethane in hexane (49% yield) or in THF (77% yield) or generated in situ from diethyl bromodifluoromethylphosphonate and BuLi.
