LinearBtrisaccharide Usage And Synthesis
Uses
Linear B trisaccharide is a class of biochemical reagents used in glycobiology research. Glycobiology studies the structure, synthesis, biology, and evolution of sugars. It involves carbohydrate chemistry, enzymology of glycan formation and degradation, protein-glycan recognition, and the role of glycans in biological systems. This field is closely related to basic research, biomedicine, and biotechnology[1].
Definition
ChEBI: Alpha-D-Gal-(1->3)-beta-D-Gal-(1->4)-D-GlcNAc is an amino trisaccharide consisting of two D-galactose residues, linked alpha(1->3), and an N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residue, linked beta(1->4), at the reducing end. It has a role as an allergen. It is an amino trisaccharide and a glucosamine oligosaccharide.
