Uses

Diamminedinitritoplatinum(II) is an active precursor, extensively used in the preparation of Pt-based catalysts on supports such as carbon black and graphene nanosheets. Diamminedinitritoplatinum(II) solution can be used as a platinum source in the synthesis of Co_XPt_1-X alloy nanowires.

Synthesis

Weigh 195g of platinum metal, washed into a beaker, add appropriate amount of aqua regia, appropriate heating to start the reaction, the reaction to a uniform solution bubbling appropriate. The reaction stops to add hydrochloric acid to drive nitrate, until there is no longer a brown gas, transferred to the rotary evaporator, concentrated to no water evaporation, transferred to the beaker with the appropriate amount of water prepared into a concentration of 200g / L chloroplatinic acid solution. Weighing 52.5g of hydrazine hydrochloride, prepared as 35% deionized water solution, added dropwise to the above chloroplatinic acid solution to obtain scarlet chloroplatinic acid solution. The chloroplatinic acid solution was heated to boiling and added to the boiling 10 times the molar amount of ammonia, heated to the final solution was colorless, evaporation and concentration, precipitated white dichlorotetraammine platinum 345.2 g. Add hot deionized water 3L, and then add a saturated solution containing 204g of sodium nitrite, the mixture was heated on a water bath until the yellow precipitate was converted into a colorless, cooled and precipitated, filtered hot water and recrystallized, P salt 256g, yield 80.0 g. The solution was then added to the above chloroplatinic acid solution and added to the above chloroplatinic acid solution dropwise. 256g, yield 80.1%. Dinitrosodiammine platinum (P salt) [Pt(NH3)2(NO2)2] prepared by this method was tested by ICP, and the platinum content was 59.7±0.2%, sodium ion was 15 ppm, potassium ion was undetectable, chlorine ion was 10 ppm, and the total content of other metal ions was not more than 50 ppm.
