2-{4-[(Dimethylamino)methyl]-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl}cyclohexan-1-ol Usage And Synthesis
Uses
The copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction is a common example of a click chemistry reaction. AMTC can be used as a ligand to the copper to enhance the rate of the reaction. AMTC is water soluble similar to the copper ligand THPTA, but the ligands show different substrate specificities allowing for optimization of reaction conditions. Since AMTC is water soluble it allows for development of applications using biological molecules. After the catalysis of hydrophobic substrates in organic solvents, the aqueous solubility of the ligand allows the option of removal using an aqueous extraction.
