Synthesis

GENERAL METHOD: To a solution of dichloromethane (CH2Cl2, 0.2 M) containing the alcohol component (2-naphthol, 0.9 mmol), pyridine-N-oxide (0.045 mmol, 5 mol%) and Proton Sponge (1.8 mmol) was added the specified phosphoryl chloride (diphenyl chlorophosphate, 1.0 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for a specified time before methanol (MeOH, 2 mL) was added. Subsequently, the reaction mixture was concentrated under vacuum. The crude product was purified by fast chromatography to afford the target product diphenyl phosphorodiphenyl-2-naphthyl ester.
