CDH Usage And Synthesis
Uses
Lactosylceramide is a sphingolipid that regulates apoptosis, proliferation and stress response. It also play a role in pathogenesis and progression of genetic and non-genetic forms of chronic kidney diseases. Lactosyceramide is also important for the functioning of many cellular processess. It is highly expressed on the plasma membrane of human neutrophils and mediates innate immune functions.
