Uses

3-Butyn-1-acetate can be used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate.

Synthesis

The 3-butyn-1-ol 0.22mL (2.8mmol) was dissolved in 29mL of dry dichloromethane, and then 0.8mL (5.6mmol) of triethylamine, 0.3mL (3.36mmol) of acetic anhydride, 34.86mg (0.28mmol) of 4-dimethylaminopyridine were added sequentially, the reaction was carried out at room temperature for 12h. 20mL of 10% ammonium chloride solution was added to terminate the reaction. The reaction was terminated by adding 20 mL of 10% ammonium chloride solution, then the aqueous phase was extracted with dichloromethane (10 mLx3), washed with saturated NaCl solution, dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and the crude product was directly used in the next reaction.The acetyl portion of the structure of 3-butynyl-1-acetate can be propionyl, butyryl, pentanoyl, hexanoyl.
