6-Boc-2,6-diaza-spiro[3.4]octane hydrochloride Usage And Synthesis

Uses

tert-Butyl 2,6-Diazaspiro[3.4]octane-6-carboxylate is used as a reagent in the synthesis of spirodiamine-diarylketoxime derivatives as melanin concentrating hormone (MCH-1R) antagonists. Also used as a reagent in the synthesis of dihydroisoindolecarboxamide derivatives as NAMPT and ROCK inhibitors.

Pharmaceutical Applications

2,6-diazaspiro[3.4]octane is the core structure of 6-Boc-2,6-diaza-spiro[3.4]octane hydrochloride. The fully saturated, high-Fsp3 2,6-diazaspiro[3.4]octane core is an emerging privileged structure, taking into account its recent frequent appearance in compounds possessing diverse biological activities. Notable recently reported examples include a hepatitis B capsid protein inhibitor, a menin-MLL1 interaction inhibitor for the treatment of cancer, a MAP and PI3K signaling modulator, a selective dopamine D3 receptor antagonist, and VDAC1 inhibitors for the treatment of diabetes.[1]
