PC-Biotin-PEG4-PEG3-azide is useful for introducing a biotin moiety to alkyne-containing biomolecules using Click Chemistry. The extended hydrophilic spacer arm provides high solubility to the labeled molecules in aqueous media. Captured biomolecules can be efficiently photoreleased using near-UV, low intensity lamp (e.g. 365 nm lamp at 1-5 mW/cm2).

Uses

PC-Biotin-PEG4-PEG3-azide is a cleavable 7 unit PEG ADC linker used in the synthesis of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs)[1]. PC-Biotin-PEG4-PEG3-azide is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
