Uses
Lalistat 2 is used in the synthetic preparation of thiadiazole carbamates as inhibitors of lysosomal acid lipase and potential Niemann-Pick type C disease therapeutics.
Biological Activity
Lalistat-2 is a potent and specific competitive inhibitor of the lysosomal acid lipase (LAL/Lipa). Lalistat-2 affects lipid droplets morphology and localization.
