Radium Sulfide Usage And Synthesis
Description
Radium Sulfide can be
prepared by the direct reaction of the elements, calcined
in an inert atmosphere, at a 1:1.05 molecular ratio:
Ra+ S+ heat→RaS
It has no CAS number. If the sulfur is in excess,
radium undoubtedly forms several other sulfides.
However, this aspect has never been studied. There is
very little information available for RaS and there is no qualified manufacturer of radium sulfide.
