Description

4,4'-Dichlorodiphenyldisulfimide is prepared by treating the corresponding sulfonyl chloride with 0.45 mol of ammonium chloride at 0 – 3 ℃, with dropwise addition of sodium hydroxide solution at pH 8; yield 91%. Used as a reagent for identifying amines.
