cepacin A Usage And Synthesis
Description
Cepacin A is an acetylenic antibiotic isolated from fermentation broth of Pseudomonas (Burkholderia) cepacia.
Uses
Cepacin A is an acetylenic antibiotic. Cepacin A has antibacterial activity, with a MIC of 0.2 μg/mL against staphylococci. In addition, Cepacin A is somewhat toxic to mice, with an LD50 of 30 mg/kg when administered intraperitoneally[1][2].
