PTELEINE Usage And Synthesis
Description
A simple furoquinoline base, this alkaloid is found in the leaves of Pte lea trifoliata. It furnishes a crystalline picrate, m.p. 195-6°C and a picrolonate, m.p. 200-2°C (dec.). The structure as 4:6-dimethoxyfuro 2,3-b quinolone has been confirmed by synthesis of the alkaloid.
Uses
Pteleine is a chemical that is used in biological studies.
