p-Hydroxycocaine is a metabolite of Cocaine (HCl: C633500), a vasoconstrictive agent that is highly addictive and has high potential for abuse. The mechanism by which Cocaine induces dependence is unknown, but it is hypothesized that it works by blocking the dopamine transporter, increasing the amount of free dopamine in the brain.
