Uses
3-?Methylbenzenesulfoni?c Acid was one of the major biodegradation product from azo dyes in fungal degradation by capillary electrophoresis.
Production Methods
The pure 3-Methylbenzenesulfonic Acid can be obtained from m- toluidine. Isomer mixtures with m-isomer concentrations of more than 50% are obtained from toluene sulfonation mixtures by bubbling in toluene vapor at 180 – 205 ℃.
