Uses

Tafluprost Acid is a derivative of Tafluprost (T004820), a novel prostanoid used in the treatment of glaucoma and is the first prostanoid to be released in a preservative free-formula.

Biological Activity

Taflupost acid is the active metabolite of Tafluprost, a prostaglandin F2α agonist th at lowers intraocular pressure and is used in the treatment of glaucoma. Taflupost acid has high affinity and selectivity for the prostaglandin PGF2α (FP) receptor with a Ki of 0.4 nM.
