Methyltris(methylethylketoxime)silane Chemical Properties,Usage,Production
Application
Methyltris(methylethylketoxime)silane is used as a neutral curing agent in silicone sealant formulations. Generally, this silane is used for crosslinking α,ω-silanol polydimethylsiloxanes in the presence of atmospheric moisture.
It is often the main crosslinker of choice for oxime silicone sealants and can be used by itself or in combination with other oxime silanes to provide the sealant with targeted properties (such as desired cure rate, adhesion etc).

Synthesis
Put 340g of methyltrimethoxysilane, 1305g of butanone oxime and 3g of p-toluenesulfonic acid into a 2000ml three-necked reaction flask, turn on the magnetic stirring, control the magnetic stirring at 300 revolutions per minute, and use the programmed heating method for the reaction temperature, which was controlled at 65-153, and the reaction time was 6h, which means that the temperature was raised by an average of 14.7 per hour, and the reaction time was 6h, which meant that the temperature was raised by an average of 14.7 per hour.
