Uses
Bismuth tartrate can be formulated into colloidal bismuth tartrate. Colloidal bismuth tartrate is a gastrointestinal mucosal protectant. After oral administration, it forms a sol with excellent colloidal properties in gastric juice, exhibiting a strong affinity for ulcers and inflamed surfaces. It can form an effective protective film, isolating gastric acid, protecting damaged mucosa, and stimulating gastrointestinal mucosal epithelial cells to secrete mucus, promoting the self-repair of epithelial cells.
