Chemical Properties
Decomposes upon heating to about 100 ℃. Mild, oily-winey odor of moderate tenacity. Fruity-winey, somewhat green-herbaceous taste in concentrations below 50 ppm. This ester has been suggested for use in flavor compositions, partly as a blender/modifier, partly as a mild, fruity additi~e to various types of fruit imitation flavor.
