Lenampicillin Hydrochloride (Lenampicillin Hydrochloride): C21H23N3O7S?HCl, [80734-02-7]. White to yellowish-white powder with a strange odor and bitter taste. Very soluble in water, soluble in methanol or ethanol, insoluble in ether. Melting point 145°C (decomposition). Acute toxicity LD 50 male and female rats, male and female mice (mg/kg): about 10,000, about 10,000, 8294, 8492 orally; 4362, 4471, 3576, 4284 subcutaneous injection; 876, 838, 711, 775 intravenous injection. Acute toxicity LD50 dog (mg/kg): >300 oral.
