Chiral amines play an important role in stereoselective organic synthesis. They are used directly as resolving agents, building blocks or chiral auxiliaries.

Synthesis

(R)-1-Amino-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene is a contactor that can be synthesized by the reaction of an enantiomerically pure amine with a primary oxidant.
