RX 821002 Hydrochloride is a selective and potent α2-adrenoceptor antagonist.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Selective α2-adrenoceptor antagonist

in vivo

2-Methoxyidazoxan monohydrochloride (1 mg/kg) enhances locomotion in the novel environment, particularly in neonatal ventral hippocampal lesion (NVHL) rats. RX82100 has a biphasic effect on locomotion, consisting of an initial reduction preceding the enhancement[3].
