  • 2-bromo-3-(1H-indol-3-yl)maleimide via reaction with indolyl magnesium bromide in tetrahydrofuran
  • 2-dibromo-3-propylsulfanyl-maleimide via reaction with propanethiol and sodium acetate in methanol
