Disodium 4-dodecyl-2,4'-oxydibenzenesulfonate is a amber transparent liquid. Relative density (25°C) 1.161. Viscosity (25°C, concentration of 0.1%) 145MPa·s. Soluble in water, hydrochloric acid, alkali solution, insoluble in mineral oil and xylene.

Uses

Disodium 4-dodecyl-2,4'-oxydibenzenesulfonate is used as emulsifier for emulsion polymerization and leveling agent in nylon printing and dyeing industry. In the detergent industry, it is used as a wetting agent, a coupling agent, and a stabilizer.
