Application

4-Bromo-6-fluoroindazole is an organic intermediate that can be prepared by first brominating 4-fluoro-2-nitrotoluene to prepare 1-bromo-5-fluoro-2-methyl-3-nitrobenzene, then reducing the nitro group to obtain 3-bromo-5-fluoro-2-methylaniline, and then cyclizing to obtain 4-bromo-6-fluoroindazole.

Synthesis

The preparation of 4-BROMO-6-FLUORO (1H)INDAZOLE involves the reaction of 2-methyl-3-bromo-5-fluoro-nitrobenzene with N, N-dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal in DMF, followed by condensation to obtain the intermediate ortho-nitro b-tetrahydropyrrole phenyl ethylene derivative. The intermediate is then reduced, condensed, and cyclized to form the final products.
