Uses

Foxy 5 is a Wnt-5a-derived hexapeptide, which inhibits breast cancer metastasis in vivo by targeting cell motility.

in vivo

Foxy-5 (2 mg/kg intraperitoneally injected 9 times a day for 7-23 days) reduces the number of colon cancer stem cells in a mouse model of human colon cancer xenotransplantation^[2].
Foxy-5 (2 mg/kg, intraperitoneal injection, once a day, for 3-9 weeks) significantly reduces the early metastasis and spread of WNT5A low DU145 prostate cancer cells in a mouse model of prostate cancer xenotransplantation^[3].

Animal Model:	A Xenograft Mouse Model of Human Colonic Cancer^[2]
Dosage:	2 mg/kg
Administration:	i.p. 9 times a day for 7-23 days
Result:	Reduced the expression of ALDH, DCLK1 and COX-2. Increased the expression of 15-PGDH. Reduced the expression of the downstream β-catenin target ASCL2.

Animal Model:	A Xenograft Mouse Model of Prostate Cancer ^[3]
Dosage:	2 mg/kg
Administration:	i.p. once a day, for 3-9 weeks
Result:	Reduced metastatic spread and the number of tumor cells in lymph nodes.
