Iron sulfide is used in photovoltaics and lithium ion battery cathodes. It is also studied as a potential material for the sequestration of environmental contaminants.
Uses
Manufacture of sulfur, sulfuric acid and sulfur dioxide, ferrous sulfate, cheap jewelry, recovery of metals.
