General Description
Colorless liquid with an odor of gasoline. Flash point 115°F. Floats on water. Flammable, irritating vapor is produced.
Air & Water Reactions
Flammable. Insoluble in water.
Reactivity Profile
1-NONENE may react vigorously with strong oxidizing agents. May react exothermically with reducing agents to release hydrogen gas. In the presence of various catalysts (such as acids) or initiators, may undergo exothermic addition polymerization reactions.
Health Hazard
High vapor concentrations irritate eyes and respiratory tract and act as an anesthetic.
