Bis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) diacetate can be used as a catalyst for C-C bond formation via Sonogashira coupling, Negishi coupling, Heck coupling, and Suzuki coupling reaction.
It can also be used as a catalyst to synthesize:
- Pyrido[1,2-a]benzimidazole derivatives by electro-oxidative intramolecular C-H/N-H annulation reaction.
- α, β-Unsaturated carboxylic acids by hydroxycarbonylation of vinyl triflates.
- Secondary imides by C-H functionalization of aldehydes with different N-substituted N-heteroarene-2-carboxamides.

Synthesis
Dissolve 0.2g Pd(AC)2 in 10mL glacial acetic acid (toluene, dichloromethane, dimethyl sulfoxide or N-N-dimethylformamide can also be used) to obtain palladium acetate solution, dissolve 0.5g PPh3 in 30mL anhydrous ethanol (dichloromethane, toluene, dimethyl sulfoxide or N-N-dimethylformamide can also be used) to obtain triphenylphosphine solution, add the palladium acetate solution to the triphenylphosphine solution, and add palladium acetate solution to the solution. Palladium acetate solution was added into triphenylphosphine solution, ultrasonic 60 reaction for 5h, then cooled, filtered, yellow crystalline palladium complex was obtained, the yield was 98.5%, the product quality purity was 99.5%.
