7-IODO-1-TETRALONE Chemical Properties,Usage,Production
Synthesis
7-Iodo-Α-tetralone can be used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate, specifically as in the preparation of 7-iodo-1,1-dimethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene: titanium tetrachloride (3.71 mL, 33.8 mmol) was dissolved in 100 mL of dichloromethane, cooled to -40 , and dimethylzinc (42.3 mL, 50.7 mmol) was added dropwise. 7-Iodo-Α-tetralone (4.6 g, 16.9 mmol) was dissolved in 50 mL of dichloromethane and dropped into the reaction solution at -40 . Alpha;-tetralone (4.6 g, 16.9 mmol) was dissolved in 50 mL of dichloromethane and dropped into the reaction solution at -40 , the reaction was stirred for 16 h. The reaction was tracked by thin-layer chromatography until the raw material disappeared, the reaction was quenched by adding a small amount of methanol, and the reaction solution was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue obtained was purified by silica gel column chromatography to obtain 7-Iodo-1,1-dimethyl-1,2,3,4 -Tetrahydronaphthalene (3.98 g, colorless oil), yield: 82.4%. 1HNMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 7.61 (s, 1H), 7.36 (dd, 1H), 6.77 (d, 1H), 2.71-2.65 (m, 2H), 1.81-1.75 (m, 2H), 1.64-1.61 ( m, 2H), 1.26 (s, 6H).
