To prepare iridium metal complex (Ir^IJOSIPHOS), which is used as a catalyst in the asymmetric hydrogenation of 2-phenylquinoxaline.
In the preparation of natural products by asymmetric conjugate addition of Grignard reagents to α-substituted cyclic alkenones.
