Uses

(R)-1-[(SP)-2-(Dicyclohexylphosphino)ferrocenylethyl]diphenylphosphine can be used as a ligand:

  • To prepare iridium metal complex (IrIJOSIPHOS), which is used as a catalyst in the asymmetric hydrogenation of 2-phenylquinoxaline.
  • In the preparation of natural products by asymmetric conjugate addition of Grignard reagents to α-substituted cyclic alkenones.

Reactions

1. Ligand for asymmetric hydroformylation reactions
2. Ligand for asymmetric intramolecular amide arylation
3. Ligand for enantioselective 1,6-conjugate addition of Grignard reagents to linear dienolates
4. Ligand for enantioselective synthesis of vicinal dialkyl arrays
