Sulfonic acid groups can participate in esterification, halogenation and replacement reactions. The hydrophilic PEG linker increases the water solubility of the compound in aqueous media.

Uses

Boc-PEG4-sulfonic acid is a PEG-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1].
