Occurrence
Reported found in ambrette seed oil (Hibiscus abelmoschus L.).
Uses
Flavoring, perfume fixative.
Aroma threshold values
Aroma characteristics at 0.1%: sweet perfumey, musklike, floral with fruity citrus, powdery berry and seedy nuances.
Taste threshold values
Taste characteristics at 5 ppm: sweet, woody, soapy, musky fruity and powdery berry nuance reminiscent of raspberry and strawberry
