Application
Demethoxydeacetylated phloem acetic acid can be used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate. Phloem acetic acid compounds and their new derivatives can inhibit the growth of human microvascular endothelial cells. Therefore, they can inhibit the division and proliferation of tumor cells by inhibiting the formation of blood vessels in tumor tissue (the malignant proliferation of tumors depends on the growth of blood vessels in tumor tissue), thereby reducing the supply of oxygen and nutrients required by tumor cells, leading to tumor shrinkage or even disappearance.
Synthesis
In the reaction flask containing the above crude product, 10 ml of acetyl chloride was added, the electromagnetic stirrer was turned on, the reaction flask was sealed, and the reaction was followed up by TLC every 1 hour, and the reaction was finished after 5 hours. The low-boiling material was evaporated on a rotary evaporator, 10 ml of water was added, and then the aqueous layer was extracted three times with ethyl acetate, the ester layers were combined, and after evaporation under reduced pressure, the residue was fractionated with petroleum ether:ethyl acetate:formic acid = 3:1:0.1 on a silica gel column (H60) as a white solid of 0.0535 g (total yield of 86.4%), to obtain the title compound, Demethoxydeacetylturfenacetic Acetic Acid (PEX-4Y).
