General Description

2-Methyl-5-nitrobenzonitrile is an aralkyl nitrile. It is formed by nitration of o-toluonitrile with NO₂⁺BF₄^-. Crystal structure of 2-methyl-5-nitrobenzonitrile is stabilized by van der Waals interactions.
