Uses
Rimcazole Dihydrochloride is a small molecule antagonist of the σ-1 receptor and inhibits tumor cell survival.
Biological Activity
Antagonist at σ receptors (IC 50 values are 1480 and 386 nM at σ 1 and σ 2 receptors respectively). Also binds to the dopamine transporter (IC 50 = 57.6 nM) and inhibits dopamine uptake. Reduces the stimulatory effects of cocaine in vivo .
