Synthesis

To a 500 mL three-necked flask with stirring, a thermometer and a 100 mL dropping funnel were added 0.045 mol TMBP (10 g), 0.32 mol pyridine (8 mL) and 100 mL acetone accordingly, and 0.1 mol ABC (18 g) was dissolved in 30 mL of acetone, which was poured into a dropping funnel and then slowly added dropwise to the three-necked flask. The reaction was carried out in an ice-water bath for about 1 h until the ABC acetone solution was added dropwise, followed by 8 h at room temperature.A large amount of precipitate appeared in the post-reaction mixture by adding excess ice-water, filtered, washed and recrystallized with chloroform/water volumetric ratio (1:1), mixed solvents and dried in a vacuum oven to give a yellow powder. The structure was characterized by FT-IR and NMR spectroscopy identified as BABTMBP (P1).
