Applications

The antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Recommended starting dilution is 1:1000.

Immunogen

Anti-human CISD1 mAb, clone PAT1A8A, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human CISD1 protein 32-108 amino acids  purified from E. coli.

Background

CISD1 protein holds a CDGSH iron-sulfur domain and is known to bind a redox-active [2Fe-2S] cluster. CISD1 is restricted to the outer membrane of mitochondria and takes part in oxidation regulation.
