It is an anthracycline antibiotic, a tertiary alpha-hydroxy ketone, a member of phenols, an ether, a member of 1,4-benzoquinones, a disaccharide derivative, an enol, an enoate ester, a carbopolycyclic compound and a carbohydrate-containing antibiotic.
