Dutomycin is a SERPINB6 inhibitor with a binding constant (KD) of 1.236 μM. Dutomycin can induce autophagy and apoptosis in cancer cells and inhibit the growth of cancer cells in a zebrafish xenograft model. Dutomycin is promising for research of cancers[1].

It directly binds to the human serine protease inhibitor B6 (SERPINB6), inducing autophagy and apoptosis. It has a role as a bacterial metabolite, an autophagy inducer, an apoptosis inducer and an antineoplastic agent.
