MAPTAM Usage And Synthesis

Description

MAPTAM is a membrane-permeant calcium indicator. MAPTAM can be loaded into live cells by incubation and cleaved by cytosolic esterases to yield the fluorescent compound. It is used for investigation of the role of cytosolic calcium.

Uses

MAPTAM is a cell-permeable intracellular Ca2+ chelator.
